As violence and repression shape everyday life in Iran and Rojava, their impact is not distant — it touches our lives, relationships, and the communities that make korsi possible. Although this reality already informs how we gather and what we build, we believe it is important to clearly state our position.
KORSI was invited to Radio 674FM for a two-hour live show hosted by Monita Wagma. Combining conversation and music, the program focused on sound, cultural practice, and the creation of collective spaces. The discussion explored KORSI’s approach to community-based gatherings, the role of music in shaping shared experiences, and the importance of creating spaces rooted in connection and exchange. Alongside the conversation, the show featured musical selections and longer-form reflections beyond the format of a conventional interview.
A mixtape inspired by a DJ set performed during KORSI’s Nowruz event at Kulturbunker Cologne was selected for NTS Supporter Radio and broadcast on NTS Channel 2. Drawing from the atmosphere and musical direction of the event, the mix moves through Tehrangeles classics, Raï, Disco, and contemporary edits and reworks from across different regions. Rather than presenting Nowruz through fixed national or folkloric narratives, the set focuses on shared memories, migration, collective celebration, and transregional musical connections. The broadcast remains available through the NTS archive.
This website is our new home — a place where you can explore what Korsi is, and what it can become with you.
Korsi is not a political platform in the usual sense. We don’t release statements often or take part in formal debates. But what we do — the sounds we share, the artists we support, the spaces we create — has always been political.
