singer and actress

Burçin Keskin

Burçin Keskin is a singer and actress whose work bridges classical music theatre with Turkish and Kurdish musical influences, centering identity, migration, and cultural dialogue.

Burçin Keskin is a singer and actress with roots in Turkey. She studied music theatre in the Netherlands and, already during her studies, performed with Bühne für Menschenrechte in Berlin as both a singer and actress.

Musically, she combines elements of classical music theatre with influences from traditional Turkish and Kurdish music. As a soprano, she creates her own sonic language between cultures. Alongside engagements on musical and theatre stages, she develops her own projects dealing with identity, migration, and cultural dialogue.

Through the Katharsis Kollektiv, which she co-founded, and productions such as “Gastfrau – Zwischen Heim und Weh” at Schauspiel Köln, Kulturbunker, and KKT, she places social questions at the center of her work and brings different cultural perspectives into artistic resonance.
